The flagtail catfish or stripedtail catfish, Dianema urostriatum, is a tropical freshwater fish belonging to the Callichthyinae sub-family of the Callichthyidae family. It originates in inland waters in South America, and is found in the Amazon River basin in Brazil. It was originally described as Decapogon urostriatum by A. de Miranda-Ribeiro in 1912.
The fish will grow in length up to 8.4 centimetres (3.3 in). It natively inhabits waters with a pH range of 6.0 to 8.0, a hardness of 5 - 19 DH, and a temperature of 25° - 28° C (77° - 82° F).
